Sau-Cheesy Cornbread


1 1/2 cups Self-rising cornmeal

1 cup self-rising flour

1 1/2 cup Mayfield buttermilk

1/2 cup Mayfield milk

1 egg

1/2 cup melted butter

1 1/2 cup grated or shredded cheese

1 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage

1 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper


Preheat over to 375 degrees. Mix dry ingredients. Separately mix wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients, adding sausage and cheese last. Pour into greased Lodge Cast Iron skillet or Lodge Cast Iron baking pan, baked at 375 for 25 minutes.
